A Bible for Social Media
It’s a cliché, but this is a Bible for businesses interested in using social media. It contains all of the basics and all of the ideas, but at the same time proposes strategies and concrete systems to help you actually start implementing social media for whichever end result you need to reach.
One thing that makes this book better than some of the others I’ve read is the way that it tackles fundamental issues surrounding social media, rather than aspects of particular networks. Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and all those other social networks change so quickly that learning everything about them only is futile. Instead this book looks at the core mechanics and fundamentals underlying all social media and this is something that will always be relevant and that can be applied in almost any context.
So if there is one book on social media and web 2.0 that you should keep on your bedside table it’s this one. If Sun Tsu were alive today, this is probably what he would have written.
